Hey guys! I am just finishing up the third week of Slim in 6. I thought I would give everyone a little update on how it is going and would love any feedback from others that are doing the program or have done it in the past.

Week one, was a big struggle for me. I had just gotten back from travelling for the whole holiday season and knew I had over indulged a lot. The other thing that I never even considered was that I had also weaned off of breast milk production. I had no idea that all the wonderful weight that had just magically fallen off from breast-feeding, was about to slowly pile back on. A warning to first time moms and soon to be moms out there. All the calories that you are burning up all day breast-feeding, come to a screeching halt once you stop and your metabolism thanks you by completely shutting down. If I had known this maybe I would not have chosen the holidays to quit! Anyways back to the program. During week one I expected the usual water weight loss that normally comes with a new program but oddly enough, I gained 5 pounds the first week. I will chalk this up to the change in hormones I was going through.

By week two I was slowly starting to lose weight and I was starting to see improvements in my overall physique. One thing I did not think of was the length of time of the workouts. Unlike the PIYO program the Slim in 6 workouts are pretty long. They alternate between 60 and 80 minutes in length. It is really hard for me to fit in a workout that long during the day with the baby but I have managed to do the 60 minute ones during the week, at the amusement of my daughter and the 80 minute ones on the weekends while Jon hangs out with her.

Now that week three is almost over, I am down 8 pounds and feel like I am getting some of my tone back finally! The Slim in 6 Program may be an older program from BeachBody but it is really effective. If you have not tried it, I suggest giving it a try!
