Good Evening Readers! Today was the second day of my 30 day challenge. Here in NYC it was a pretty stormy day out but we did manage to get out for 2 separate walks today. I would have liked to have gone longer but like I promised myself I would not beat myself up over small things anymore. Since it has been so gross out I am lucky that I even got out and I am happy with that. In the afternoon I did some exercises while the baby napped. My abs since the c section are in pretty rough shape. It is like starting over from scratch, so please do not judge my reps 🙂
- 10 sit ups
- 15 crunches
- 5 push ups
- 8 mountain climbers
- 20 squats
I used to be squat obsessed. It is funny after not doing them for many months how I can feel the burn after such a small amount of repetitions. I am just glad to be able to find some time in the day to fit in even the smallest amount of activity.
Food wise I did not bad today. As usual not perfect but not horrible. I am still adding additional calories due to the fact that I still need to produce food for the baby. I could probably get more calories from better choices but I am still happy with my diet today. Here is what it looked like for the day:
Breakfast: Coffee with soy, cantaloupe, vanilla almond KIND bar
Lunch: Cobb salad (lettuce, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, bacon, hard-boiled egg and dressing on the side)
Snack: Multi grain pita chips and guacamole
Snack: Soy hazelnut macchiato from Starbucks
Dinner: Mixed green salad, home-made tomato sauce and linguine and a glass of red wine
I am slowly trying to get my life balance back and this blog will definitely help me stay on track. I hope you guys will follow me on this 30 day challenge and maybe some of you will join me in this challenge. You could also come up with some goals of your own for the next 30 days. It is not really about losing weight but getting back to the things that make me happy! Exercise and health have been a big part of what has made me happy over the last decade. I promised myself I would not lose track of that after the baby and I definitely underestimated how hard it would be to stay on track. I will get there though. What are some of your goals?
