Happy Monday Everyone! I know Mondays can be tough but I hope we are all having a good one anyways. I am quickly approaching 4 months since I had my little one and I have to admit I have not stayed on track with my health and fitness as well as I did when I was pregnant. I decided today was the day I make a change. For the next 30 days I will:
- fit in activity every day.
- try my best to eat well.
- I will not beat myself up if over indulge.
- have one treat a day
- hold myself accountable everyday by using my fitness pal daily.
I will workout in some manner everyday. This includes the daily walks I already take with the baby. I am walking daily once in the late morning and once in the late afternoon. Five days a week I will add some conditioning exercises either at home or the gym.
Today I went for a 20 minute walk and did groceries with the baby. In the afternoon I did:
- 15 sit ups
- 10 crunches
- 5 push ups
- 8 mountain climbers
- 15 squats
This may seem like a small workout but I had to start somewhere. I will be adding more exercises daily and increasing reps along the way.
This is what todays food journal looks like:
Breakfast: Cantaloupe, Coffee with Soy Milk and a Vanilla Almond Kind Bar
Lunch: Raspberry Pecan Chicken Salad
Snack: Soy Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks
Dinner: Pork Chops with Asparagus, Mixed Greens Salad and a Glass of Red Wine
Treat: Split a Cupcake with Jon 🙂
Not the best food day but certainly not the worst either! I wish I could have skipped the wine but after the day I have had I definitely need it.
Previous to having the baby I really thought that it would be super easy. I actually thought it would not affect my gym time and what I eat. Boy was I wrong! Everything has changed and it is time for me to adapt to that change. So I will try to post on how I am doing for the next 30 days as a way to keep myself on track and maybe inspire a few other Moms out there to join me! Who is with me?
