Hey Readers! I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. We extended our weekend and took a last-minute road trip to visit my family in Canada. While I was there I got to thinking about the large collection of photographs that we have and the many that we have taken just this past weekend. Between our camera, phones and tablets, we have accumulated a ton of photos and we do not do anything with them. I would love to actually make use of them besides posting them on Facebook or Instagram. I miss the days of hard copy photos and the joy I used to take in looking at them or doing something with the actual pictures. The great thing in this day and age is that we have so many ways to take photos. Because of this we have so many more pictures than we used to. I swear I have less than 100 pictures of me as a child and I have 1000 pictures of Emma on my tablet just from the last 3 months of her life. Here are a few ideas of ways to use your images:

Calendars: You could take your photos and find themed ones for every month. Print out the photos and make them into a calendar. There are also templates on some computers that can help you create these calendars as well. Besides being something you can enjoy, I bet you have some relatives out there that would love them as gifts.

Refrigerator Decorations: Why not print out some photos and put them up on your fridge? You could switch them up as often as you would like. Pick up some framed magnets and swap them out every once in a while.

Scrapbooking: Scrapbooks are an awesome way to tell a story or to remember an event. You can create one for vacations, weddings, babies etc. They are fun and also an interesting hobby. I love them because you can not only add photos but mementos as well.

Create a Collage: Print out some of your favorite photos and create a fun collage for your living room or bedroom.

Hallway Gallery: Buy a bunch of black or wood frames. Print out your favorite family pictures, insert in frames and hang them in an arrangement in your hallway.

These are just some of the fun ways I have come up with for using family photos. What are some of your ideas?
