Hey there, Joanne’s friends! I’m pretty psyched to virtually meet you all today here on NYC Fit Food Fashion. I brought a fashion post to the party because you really don’t want my advice on fitness or food…I’ve never had a gym membership and sometimes I eat cookies for breakfast because toast is just too complicated.
Anywho, maybe I should tell you who I am! I’m Sarah, and I blog about clothes and stuff over at Sarah’s Real Life. In my spare time, I got to law school. I’m 28 and live in Indianapolis (go Colts!…Just kidding. I don’t care.)
If you’ve never paid me a visit before, the #1 thing to know about my blog is that I never, NEVER post an outfit that I didn’t actually wear out in the real world. My goal in getting dressed every day is to have as much fun as I can without being impractical. Take the outfit above, for instance! I wore this recently on a Saturday night to go see a community theater show. Saturday nights can be a good excuse to get gussied up, but I wasn’t really doing anything that fancy. So to bridge the gap, I went for some statement accessories with a kind of slouchy, casual ensemble. The Midwest is also still in that awkward “what season is it anyway?” stage, so that was another obstacle. My body’s saying let’s stay warm, but my heart is saying let’s wear pastels (it’s like the Christina Aguilera song, but…you know…different). The compromise? Plenty of coverage but in a springy palette.
So there you have it! A fun, real-life outfit. If you’d like to see more of them, just swing by sarahsreallife.wordpress.com. (Psst…you can also find shopping links for this outfit if you’re interested.)
If you like what you see, let’s be friends. You can follow me any way you want: Bloglovin’, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and/or Pinterest. If you have a blog too, please leave me a link! I’d love to check it out.
Many thanks to Joanne for letting me take over her blog for a day, and CONGRATS on the new human in your life!
