The Biggest Baby Shower has come and gone. Jon and I had the pleasure of attending Big City Mom’s Biggest Baby Shower on November 13th, 2013. We arrived on time and there was already a huge line up outside. I had never seen so many pregnant ladies in one spot!
Once we got in we checked our coats and headed in. We had been given a bingo tickets and needed to get 25 signatures plus visit the 2nd floor to win a prize. Jon was determined to fill that out as quickly as he could. I think there were too many pregnant lady hormones for him in the room. Along the way we visited some really awesome booths and most of them had treats!
A few of our favorite stops along the way were: Daddy Scrubs, 4 Moms, Britax, Fit Pregnancy and Sage Spoonfuls. If you are expecting or have young children you should check out these sites. Jon really liked Daddy Scrubs, they even gave him a badge so he could walk around like a Proud Pappa.
A huge highlight for me was meeting Daytime TV Queen Susan Lucci. I was starstruck but Jon made sure I got a photo. My mom raised me watching All My Children. Erica Kane was a household name in my childhood home! Susan’s daughter Liza Huber is CEO and founder of Sage Spoonfuls. I am very interested and making my own baby food, so this company is definitely something I will be looking to for help when it is time. In addition to their highly acclaimed book, Sage Spoonfuls offers a complete line of award-winning products; including an immersion blender and food processor, storage jars, labels, stackable storage trays, a cooler with freezer pack, insulated tote bag and a handy pocket guide. Check it out!
My second favorite part of the night was the prizes and gift bag!! Our Bingo Card won us a stylish Skip Hop Diaper Bag! With our ticket we were given a Joovy Babasling. If that was not enough stuff we got a huge gift bag. This things was so big I can not name everything that was in there but here is a few of the goodies we got:
- Earth’s Best Diapers and Wipes
- pediped baby shoes
- munchkin swaddle angel
- stokke bath poncho
- lots of bibs and onsies
- baby bottles
There was so much stuff I can not even list everything. If I only had one recommendation to Big City Mom’s it would be that all of the baby food expires in the next 3 months. For expectant mom’s like myself that are not due for 4 more months, we are not able to use the food. I am sending it to work with Jon, he has lots of co-workers that just had babies. The food will not go to waste! Here is a pic with me and all the loot! If you are considering attending one of these events, you have to go even if just for the gifts!
Thank you to Big City Mom‘s and to all of the sponsors at the event. We had a fantastic time!
