We ventured out on Saturday night for date night. We had visited Ariana Kebab House once before and it was really good. There are so many restaurants in the city it is not often that we go to places more than once. The food is so good here that we had to return! Since it was Saturday night and the place is pretty small, it was a little busier than usual. We sat down and we were greeted and brought water right away. The quick service here is impressive. Our waiter was actually running at times!
We ordered an appetizer to share but we probably should have had our own. I think it was really meant for one person and I wish I had more of it! We had Bolanee Qandana, a fried turnover filled with leeks, meat, herbs and served with a yogurt sauce. Delicious!
As an entree I had the Lamb Tikka Kebab. Big chunks of marinated lamb broiled over wood charcoal. It was served with a salad and rice. The lamb was sooooo good I wish there was more of it! Make sure you have the red and the green sauce on your table. We had to ask for them and I do not know what they are called but they are so so good. The food here is so fresh and so good!
Jon ordered the Combination Platter #2. It has chicken kebab, lamb kofta, lamb kebab and lamb steak. This was also served with rice and salad. I tried a bite of everything and this is definitely the best value on the menu and I will say it again it was delicious!! We did not have room for dessert but I am sure it would have been amazing!
If you are in Hell’s Kitchen you should definitely check this place out, it is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. I will be going back for sure and next time I will not wait so long in between visits!
