Born Skincare

I have to admit I have never been crazy about skin care. I have typically removed my make-up with baby wipes and left it at that. I have never had problem skin so I never really looked into any skin care lines. Born SkinCare contacted me a few weeks ago about trying out there core line The Source and reviewing here on the blog. I figured why not! The thing that sold me was that they had The Source for Mothers an oil that claims to aid in preventing stretch marks. Since I am in my 18th week and starting to grow I figured this may be some thing that I should be using. Who wants stretch marks right?

The Source product line is a collection of rare blends of essential oils infused with grape seed oil. The collection includes:

  • The Source for Skin
  • The Source for Sensitive Skin
  • The Source for Men
  • The Source for Mothers
  • The Source for Muscle

Born SkinCare

Once I received my lovely package from Born SkinCare I was super excited to try it out! I washed my face and tried out The Source for Skin as soon as I opened it up. It comes in a pump, which is great for oil since oils can be messy. I had no problems with mess, I applied the oil to my face and neck. My first thoughts were that it would be greasy but it absorbed pretty quickly. After the first day my skin felt really soft. I have been using the oil nightly for 10 days now and I am loving the way my skin feels. The product claims to be wrinkle lifting but I have not seen that yet. I am sure it may take longer than the 10 days in which I have been using it. So far I think the oil is fantastic and will continue to apply it at night.

Born SkinCare

Along with The Source for Skin I have been using The Source for Mothers nightly for the last 10 nights. So far as I am entering week 19 of my pregnancy I have not seen a stretch mark and I still do not see any sign of them. I do have stretch marks on my hips due to yo-yo dieting in my younger years and I have applied some oil there as well. I know nothing is going to make them disappear completely but I have noticed that they are getting lighter as I have been using the oil. I will continue to rub this oil all over my growing belly nightly and pray that I I do not get any stretch mark during this pregnancy!
