Yoga for Athletes- 12 week program

Yoga for athletes is a 12 week workshop that is lead by Maggie Converse and Ashlee Willaman. Each week will have a different focus (hamstrings, hips, calves, IT bands, groins and shoulders), addressing common injuries and learning how to prevent them with yoga. Attendees will leave the workshop with a series of poses to incorporate into their normal training program in order to speed up recovery and prevent injuries (most injuries come from imbalances!) So whether you are an experienced yogi or a typical stiff runner looking to increase your flexibility, learn how to make yoga a part of your fitness routine. The cost is $100 for the 12 weeks or $90 if you are registered for the NYC Marathon. $10 per class if you just want to drop in and check it out. Maggie Converse has been racing in triathlons for 4 years and is also a yoga instructor and certified holistic health coach. Maggie is currently training for her first Ironman, Lake Placid in July 2013. Ashlee Willaman is a 6 time marathon runner and ultramarathoner. She completed her 500 hour yoga teacher training with Yogaworks .
