I am addicted to food journaling with my fitbit and I also use MyFitnessPal. Since I keep track of the number of calories that I take in everyday, I am always looking for low cal healthy snacks. Sure there are a lot of packaged “low calorie” snacks out there in your grocery store aisle. The problem with those snacks are they are empty calories, for example 100 calorie pouches of mini cookies etc. Those are things I do not buy at the store! So here is a list of some good snacks that taster good and are under 150 calories:

  • 1/4 cup guacamole with red bell pepper strips
  • 1 cup or berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc)
  • 2 tblsp hummus and carrot/celery sticks
  • 45 pistachios
  • 1 sliced apple with 1tbsp of peanut butter
  • 3 melba toasts and 1 ounce of goat cheese
  • plain greek yogurt with a handful of fresh berries
  • 20 almonds
  • 1 cup of edamame
  • 8-10 olives
  • 1 large nectarine
  • 1 large banana
  • 3 cups of air popped pop corn
  • 1 egg with whole wheat toast
  • a large latte
