Shape Up NYC: Zumba

Saturday May 25th at Harlem Pier

Join Shape Up NYC for a free outdoor Zumba class each week at West Harlem Piers! No registration is required, just show up ready to work out! Zumba is a fusion of Latin, International and popular music dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic, fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body with easy to follow dance steps.

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning

Free outdoor yoga classes kicks off Tuesday, May 3, thanks to Lululemon, who recruits top instructors from around the city. The free open-level, hour-long yoga classes are every Tuesday and Thursday in Bryant Park through September 29. Classes are weather permitting. Tuesday 10–11 a.m. on the Terrace. Thursday– 6–7 p.m. on the Lawn.

Saturday Mornings

Start your Saturdays off right by heading uptown to Van Cortlandt Park’s Track Club for a free group run at 8am. Divided up by skill, groups get in some cardio by running around the Parade Grounds and various scenic trails. This event is rain or shine and open to all skill levels.
