This past Christmas I received a fit bit one and an arias wi-fi scale. It was love at first step! I am sure as I was telling my friends and family what I got for Christmas it sounded like a glorified pedometer. I can tell you it is not.

ImageThe obvious thing that I was first obsessed with when I had put the fit bit on was actually just walking and running to see if the steps were accurate. I was overjoyed and maybe a little crazy about this you can ask my husband Jon how much walking around the apartment I did that night!

I also have the arias scale. This is awesome because when I weigh myself my weight gets sent to my fit bit app. My fit bit app definitely keeps me in check while trying to help me reach my personal fitness goals. This tiny little thing keeps track of my steps, calories burned, stairs climbed and miles walked/run. All of this on a tiny little gadget I keep clipped to the inside of my bra!

Everyday I log my food, water intake and activity onto my fit bit ipad app. Yes, this sounds like a lot of work but for a girl that has been using food journals for years I know that this is what works best for me! I have set up my personal goals in my profile so the fit bit tells me how many calories to eat that day to reach my goals. It also tells me if I have gone over that how much activity burn I need to do to make up for it! On the app my weight, BMI and lean vs fat come up in graph form which I love because you can see the gradual progress in graphs for 1 week, 1 month, 3 months and 1 year.

Over all it has been the best tool I have found for me to help get where I want to go with my fitness goals! I would recommend this product to anyone that is starting a new fitness plan or if you are already in one. I will be on the look out for new and exciting products coming out from fit bit! Do any of you have the fit bit flex yet? I would be interested in hearing some feedback on that one!
